John Mitchinson

John Mitchinson is a publisher and researcher. He was the original Marketing Director for Waterstones, before moving on to Harvill Press and Cassell & Co. He is the chief researcher of the television show QI, and writes the accompanying book series with the show's creator John Lloyd. He is also a co-founder of Unbound (www.unbound.co.uk), a crowd-funding form of publishing where writers pitch their ideas and the public can pledge to choose which books get written.
