Mike Goody

Mike Goody is a former Aircraftsman who served in the RAF. He was injured when his patrol was hit by an IED and the blast led to him losing part of his left leg below the knee and caused hearing loss on his left side. Mike also suffered a brain injury and has been diagnosed with PTSD. Since being injured, sport has been a big part of his recovery process. In 2009, Mike swam the Channel as part of a three man wounded team and competed in the swimming leg of the 2011 Bolton Iron Man and both the marathon and swimming sections of the 2012 Iron Man. In 2010 Mike attended the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Inspiration Programme and in 2012 through Help for Heroes, Mike took part in the London 2012 Paralympics Closing Ceremony.
