Peter Ettedgui

Peter Ettedgui began his career in film in the art department and as an assistant editor, before writing several films including ‘Onegin’ (directed by Martha Fiennes, with Ralph Fiennes and Liv Tyler). He went on to produce ‘Kinky Boots’ (directed by Julian Jarrold, with Joel Edgerton and Chiwitel Ejiofor), while his work as development consultant and script editor includes ‘Spectre’, the last Bond film. More recently, he has worked on several feature documentaries, including ‘Listen to Me, Marlon,’ (directed by Stevan Riley) a film portrait of Marlon Brando, told through the actor’s audio archive, for which Peter was the recipient of a Peabody Award and the best writing award at the Independent Documentary Awards. This led to him writing and directing (with Ian Bonhôte) ‘McQueen’, the acclaimed film about the designer Lee Alexander McQueen. At 5x15, Peter will talk about bringing McQueen back to life through the extraordinary archive material he and Ian tracked down while making the film.
