Camila Batmanghelidjh

Camila Batmanghelidjh is a psychotherapist, businesswoman and charity leader. She has devoted her life to helping marginalised and neglected children; she founded her charity Kids Company in 1995. By 2012, Kids Company had achieved an outreach of over 17,000 ex-offenders and disadvantaged children. Before that, she set up Place2Be, a charity that facilitates emotional support and a place for children to talk in schools. Place2Be now works in over 200 schools nationwide. Batmanghelidjh published a book, Shattered Lives: Children Living with Courage and Dignity in 2006. She was included on the BBC Radio 4 Woman's Hour's 'Power List', listing the 100 most powerful woman in Britain, in 2013.
