Fatima Bhutto

Fatima Bhutto is a Afghan born Pakistani poetess and writer. She grew up in Syria and Pakistan and has written for Granta, Financial Times, and many other publications. She studied at Columbia University, and the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London. She is the author of multiple books, including Songs of Blood and Sword, a non-fiction account of Pakistani politics and her family, and a novel, The Shadow of the Crescent Moon, which was long listed for the Bailey’s Prize in 2014 and won the Prix de la Romanciere in 2014.

In 2012, Fatima Bhutto was selected to be a Young Global Leader for the World Economics Forum, one of 192 YGLs from 59 countries, all of whom were chosen for their outstanding leadership, professional accomplishments and commitment to society.
