Jay Griffiths
Jay Griffiths is the current Hay Festival Fellow and lives in Wales. She is the author of Kith: The Riddle of the Childscape; Wild: An Elemental Journey, and Pip Pip: A Sideways Look at Time. Her fiction includes A Love Letter from a Stray Moon and Anarchipelago.
Jay has won the Barnes & Noble Discover Award for the best new non-fiction writer in the USA, 2003, for which Pip Pip was cited as "cleverness in the service of genius." Wild was awarded the Orion Book Award in the US in 2007, and was shortlisted for the Orwell prize in the UK in 2008 and a World Book Day award in 2009.
