Sarah Burns
Sarah Burns is a writer and film maker. She wrote The Central Park Five: A Chronicle of a City Wilding, which looked at the case of a woman who was brutally raped on April 19, 1989 in Central Park. Burns's account focused on the tale of the five African-American teens - the youngest of who was 14 - who were convicted of the rape, sentenced and imprisoned. But 13 years later their sentences would be over turned. The book has now been turned into a film The Central Park Five which follows the story of an awful crime and miscarriage of justice and was made with her father Ken Burns.
